Social Media Projects
In CMU Lab., social media projects are ongoing research topics, especially, ‘Integrated Visualization System of Touristy Places and Related Micro Blog Information’ is developed.
Actually, micro-blog is one of the most important references for sightseeing, However, it is difficult for users to intuitive search in Twitter because there is no visual connection between touristy places and related huge number of tweets on the map, and size of each tweet is too small. The proposed method firstly extracts tweets corresponding to a tourist resort from huge number of tweets. In next step, we perform morphological analysis of them, and apply noise reduction to analysis results. It finally uses a locally weighted clustering to eliminate redundancy and divide them into suitable size of clusters as following figures.
